Justin Hampton is a contemporary artist known for bold line work, rich color, and vivid imagination. His career began in Seattle in 1990 at The Rocket under art director Art Chantry, placing him at the heart of the emerging Grunge scene. Drawing inspiration from street art, skate-punk culture, comics, and Toulouse-Lautrec, he has spent more than three decades creating an unmistakable visual style.
Hampton has designed posters for Pearl Jam, Ween, Queens of the Stone Age, and Soundgarden, along with artwork for Danger Mouse’s The Grey Album and a commissioned poster for The Hangover. His work is represented in the collections of Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and he was among the original artists for Magic: The Gathering. He lives and works in Portland, Oregon.
